As a web design intern, I was responsible for creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of World of Warcraft game site pages. I also designed web content for upcoming World of Warcraft Legion expansion.

Project phases

The first stage of my design process was to create drawings of design ideas on paper and whiteboards.

Once I had a strong idea of how the user flow would be regarding content and navigation, I would then transfer my drawings into Illustrator wireframes. I had to make decisions on what kind of assets to use and consider how they would show up in responsive layouts (mobile, tablet, desktop).

After much iteration on the design and layout of the webpages, I would finally get the chance to have some fun with color, textures, and image assets.

At this point, it is all about fixing bugs and making things look right. I worked closely with front-end and back-end engineers to create a working prototype of my designs.
