Yang Meh Meh is an interactive installation that uses virtual reality technology as a medium to embody and convey identity, change, and common human experiences such as yearning for an opportunity to return to the past. Through a nostalgic desire for youth, I recreated my stuffed animal lamb that was given to me at birth by my mother. The recreation process included 3D scanning, 3D modeling, 3D printing, sewing of fabric and real wool, and real-time algorithmic rendering. My conflicted experience of articulating identity, memory and the external world manifest the intersection of past and present, internal and external.
